Writing Questions and Answers for Sculptors of History-

 

v You need 10 questions and their answers.
v This is for the 5 minute question and answer session with your judge.
v To help you plan, one typed page (size 12 font) takes about 2 minutes to do.
v Below is a description of the specific requirements for the 10 questions and answers. You must write the questions AND the answers when you turn them in. Questions may not be asked in this order.
a. Your first question must be: “What is the most important thing you ever did, and why do you think this is so important.” This is the only question the judge will definitely ask, and your answer may not exceed 1 minute and 30 seconds minutes in length.
b. The second question must be: “Tell about a significant turning point in your life and give two ways you were influenced by this turning point.”
c. The third question is: “If you had to speak to students at a junior high assembly, what advice would you give them?” Your answer to this should take between 30 and 60 seconds.
d. You must create an evaluation question as described in Bloom’s Taxonomy of questions. Be sure you write “EVALUATION QUESTION” in front of this question.
e. You must create a synthesis question as described in Bloom’s Taxonomy. Be sure you write “SYNTHESIS QUESTION” in front of this question.
f. You must create a analysis question as described in Bloom’s Taxonomy. Be sure you write “ANALYSIS QUESTION” in front of this question.
g. You will need to create 4 more questions to make a total of 10 questions.
 
v This should concentrate on the main accomplishments in your person’s life.
v The questions should be done in “2nd person”, as if someone was asking you the questions. The answers should be done in “first person”, because you are acting out the person.
v Write the name of the person you are researching on your paper.
