What is the vision of the BASICS grant as it applies to MCSD?

We envision working together as a community to support our students as they grow to become lifelong learners. Students must understand that learning is truly “without walls,” not limited to the time spent in formal education, and a continuing process in life. We look to community members to model the importance of becoming lifelong learners and responsible citizens. Community refers to all citizens who live and work within the MCSD community.

What is the mission of the BASICS grant as it applies to MCSD?

As a school district that is already measured as exemplary, we need to continue to grow and develop new skills as demanded by a changing world. Through a combination of rich staff development, engagement of community resources and fine-tuning of an award-winning curriculum, the district will raise the bar for student achievement.
