TO CHANGE THE COLOR of the BACKGROUND
Go to Format
Go down to background
Then you can use the arrow to change the color or you can browse for one.
TO INSERT a PICTURE
Go to Insert
Click on picture from clip art
A large menu will pop up – I usually go to pictures on the web.
Type in what type of picture you want - click on the box next to the picture. When you download the pictures – you want to open - not save. Once they are open, click on the picture and it is there
TO MAKE a NEW PAGE
Go to File
Click on New
Click on Page
Click Ok
Type something on the page and then save it
TO CREATE a HYPERLINK
Highlight what you want the link to be attached to. (In my case I highlight a picture.)
Click on the Hyperlink icon
Scroll down the list to find the page you want to link to. Click on it or if you want to link to another web page – type in the web page at the bottom.
Click ok
TO MAKE MUSIC
Right Click on the page
Go to Page Properties
Go to background sound
You can browse in clip art to find the right sound
TO MAKE a PICTURE TRANSPARENT
Click on the image
A tool bar will come up at the bottom.
Click on this tool
Say yes to what it asks you.
Then click on the image
HELPFUL DOWNLOAD SITES
Simply right click on an image you see on the Internet and “save as” or “save target as” to your file.
