How to Access
General Access Procedure
In order to access documents, either use the Docushare icon on your application launcher, or go directly to a collection if you know the URL . If you want to browse the collections, you should begin by clicking on the Docushare icon on your application launcher.
Contents:
Click on the word Contents at the top of the Docushare homepage. You will then link to an index of every item that is available to any outside user . You will need to login as a teacher if you want to link to everything you are entitled to access as a teacher . Much of what you will need as a teacher is available to the general user without a password, including the “Teacher Toolbox”.
Search:
If you want to search for a particular document or subject and know the title, click on the word Search at the top of the Docushare homepage. Using all of the options in the search table can be very confusing the first time around. To do a quick search, ignore all of the options and move to the section that contains the following words:
Where: Any Part contains:
In the box that follows the word “contains”, type the word or phrase for which you are searching.
As an example, if you are searching for a subject such as “help desk” just type the words in quotes – “help desk”. This section is not case sensitive. Results will look like this:

The first entry is the subject, the second entry refers to the words as the appear in a description of the heading under which the help desk is located. Click on the first hit and you will be taken to the HELP DESK.
If you are searching for a specific phrase from a document such as - web quests are learning
activities in which students are presented with an authentic situation and a task -
just type in the phrase, put it in quotes and you will be presented with a link to the
document where the quote can be found if it is located in Docushare.

NOTE: The more detailed and specific you can be, the easier it will be to find a particular document. Phrases such as “scope and sequence” will net too many hits -- probably more than you want to wade through. Keywords can be combined with phrases and searched, if you put them in separate boxes .
